It’s that time of the year again when the branch elects its officers for the following year ahead of the Annual General Meeting in February. Any member can stand for any post in the branch providing they are nominated and seconded by two other members, Nomination Form . If a post is contested then an election is held either at the AGM itself or if several positions are contested then through a postal ballot of all members. The following timetable was agreed by Branch Committee 4/11/10.
Open nominations: Monday 15th November 2010
Close nominations: Friday 3rd December 2010
Deadline for submission of Motions to the AGM: Friday 17th December 2010
Deadline for submission of election statements: Friday 17th December 2010
Ballot opens: Tuesday 4th January 2011
Deadline for amendments to motions: Friday 17th January 2011
Ballot closes: Friday 28th January 2011
Annual General Meeting: Wednesday 2nd February 2011
Members can also submit motions to be considered bythe AGM these must be provided no later than Friday 17th December. Motions can be submitted in writing using this form Motion Form or via e-mail, email@example.com.
